This week, here at AB Wellness and Reflexology, I am so excited to be celebrating my one year anniversary of being a permanent resident at “The Boxes at Chapelton”. For anyone that knows me, you know I love a good celebration and I’ve always felt it's important to appreciate even the smallest of milestones and achievements along the way, as we should be taking the chance to enjoy every moment as they come. So for this week's blog, I’ve decided to reflect on some of what ABWR has achieved in the last year at “The Boxes at Chapelton”.
Shortly after taking possession of the keys to my new unit within Chapelton my goal for AB Wellness and Reflexology was to create a wellness space that was calm and welcoming for my clients & customers; I was delighted at the wonderful response I received on my opening weekend from everyone saying how warm and inviting the shop and treatment space was.
AB Wellness and Reflexology was born out of my love of reflexology and my wanting people to feel their best selves when they came to have a treatment with me.
I love that my clients enjoy the tranquil setting of Chapelton and that they feel welcomed as soon as they open the door; I've worked very hard to provide a welcoming experience so that they wish to keep on returning as I want to create the best service for all of my clients and customers.
Since moving here one of the first big events that I sponsored was the Chapelton Bike Ride where one of my two ABWR-sponsored athletes took part and I couldn’t have been more proud of Chloe on the day of the event as she was first female over the finish line!
Community and giving back is a huge part of what I’ve created in my business and I’m very proud of all the local charities and committees that I’ve helped over this past year whilst here in Chapelton.
One of the things I love most with having started ABWR is the connections it’s brought me. Moreover, I’m so thankful for all of the opportunities I’ve been presented with this year and to have made some beautiful friendships at the same time whilst building my ABWR community here.
It’s been so fantastic to have had the chance to work alongside and collaborate with so many fabulous businesses, whilst working at events, corporate wellbeing and retreat days! One recent event that was a highlight for me was doing a workshop and talk for the Chapelton Community Association. They instantly made me feel right at home and they all got fully involved asking lots of questions and they all gave such great feedback saying how they all loved learning all about the benefits of reflexology whilst I showed them how they could work on some reflex points themselves at home. I just love sharing my passion of reflexology with others and it was so good to be able to do that right here within Chapelton.
Over this past year, I've also curated a wealth of wellness brands to stock within ABWR’s shop space and I was hugely honoured to be the first independent stockist of “The Herbtender” who are stocked in the likes of Selfridges and Whole Foods.
One of my proudest moments of this year would be the most beautiful feature written within Society magazine about me as a reflexologist and the brand that I’m building with ABWR. It was great to be able to share my story and my future vision and I was blown away by what lovey words were written by Journalist Ellie House.
I’m very lucky that so many of my clients refer me time and time again. This is something I'm most appreciative of! Word of mouth has meant that I've had clients travel from as far north as Inverness, west as Royal Deeside and south as Dundee to come and receive a reflexology session with me here in Chapelton! I've also had clients travel from other countries to have a treatment with me whilst they are visiting family and friends, here in Scotland. This has just amazed me and I’m so thankful to each and everyone of you who takes the time to tell people about your experience with me and how much you’ve loved your reflexology sessions! I’m forever thankful!
As a way to say thank you to all of my fabulous clients and customers in March this year I launched ABWR’s new blog page “Touchpoint” whilst at the same time I started a weekly news wellness newsletter from me which lands in your inbox every Wednesday.
Both of which are free resources for my ABWR community to bring you all a little joy and wellness into every week. My hope is that they provide you with some wellbeing tips to improve your own health and wellbeing whilst giving you the chance to take a few minutes to pause and slow down.
I've had a fantastic first year with in Chapelton and I couldn't be happier with the response I've received from the community here since moving in permanently.
It’s been a dream come true working with some incredible brands and people over this past year. There have been too many to mention but I’m so very grateful for all of you!
It makes me so happy to be celebrating ABWR’s first year anniversary within Chapelton, and I’m loving growing my business here. It's been an amazing journey so far and I feel so lucky to call this place home for ABWR!
Thanks to all of my fabulous clients, customers, suppliers, collaborators, friends and everyone who supports me, as ABWR would not be here without all of your continued support!
I'm so excited for this next year ahead as I’m looking forward to lots more adventures and memories with you all as I have so many plans to make our community even better & bigger for you all!
Watch this space!
Much Love,
Shona x
